Install Study Kit

Open Terminal (press Command and Space, type “Terminal”) and paste:

Terminal window
curl -LsSf https://docs.secureview.tech/study-kit/install.sh | sh

The script:

  1. Installs uv, a Python tool manager, if you do not have it. uv brings its own Python, so you do not install Python yourself.
  2. Installs the monash command with uv. It tries PyPI first and falls back to the latest code on GitHub.
  3. Adds uv’s tool folder to your PATH, so monash works in any new terminal.
  4. Starts monash setup in the same window.

You can read the scripts before running them: install.sh and install.ps1.

If you prefer to see each step, these do the same thing.

Terminal window
curl -LsSf https://astral.sh/uv/install.sh | sh

Close Terminal and open it again, then:

Terminal window
uv tool install monash-study-kit
monash setup

If uv tool install monash-study-kit says the package is not found, install from GitHub instead:

Terminal window
uv tool install https://github.com/Waldo0926/monash-study-kit/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
Terminal window
monash --version

It prints monash-study-kit and a version number. If the terminal says monash is not found, open a new terminal window and try again.

The same install script works. Claude Desktop is not available on Linux, so use Claude Code or another AI app.
